Draft is a great word processor tool I have learned about from Larry Ferlazzo.I just signed up with them and tried it and I must say that it is really cool. Here are some of the reasons why you need to consider using this web tool : first draft is free of charge and all it requires is a sign up using your email. Its interface is user friendly and completely distraction free, an ideal place to concentrate on the writing process without being annoyed by those distractive features like ads.
Another advantage of Draft is that it allows for sharing documents with others. You can for instance send the document you are working on to your colleague to edit it and when he/she is done with editing , you will receive an email alert to accept or reject the changes using a view like the one in this snapshot :
Users can also upload their documents to Draft to edit and work on them. The new feature Draft brings about and which is not found in the other word processing web tools is the Ask a pro service. This service is paid for and you can use it to get a professional editing your paper.
I think Draft is a great tool to use with your students when teaching writing. Try it out and share with us what you think of it.
