Back again to YouTube with these two web tools we are sharing with you below. Educational Technology and Mobile Learning has a separate section called educational YouTube tools that teachers and educators can access to learn more about some great tools they can use to get the maximum from YouTube.
Today we have two cool tools that work on YouTube videos :
1- Splicd
As its name suggests, Splicd is a web tool that allows users to split YouTube videos into parts to be shared with others. Sometimes you want to share only a portion of a YouTube video and not the entire video, to do this you need to have recourse to Splicd. It is very easy to use and has a user friendly interface. Just paste the YouTube URL you to want to chop and specify the exact start and end time of the portion you want and finally click on continue.
2- YouTube Preview
This is a Chrome extension that you can easily download on your browser to preview video links before you click on them. YouTube offers this functionality when you are playing one of its videos, you can for instance move your mouse over the bar to see the parts of the video that are coming next , but when you are faced with a textual link of a YouTube video you would not know anything about the video except what the link description itself says about it. With YouTube Preview you will be able to check video links and preview them before clicking on them.
