Twitter for k-12 Classes Simplified

Twitter is a great and promising social media platform that has a huge potential in education.Educational Technology and Mobile Learning has posted several articles and guides on how teachers can use Twitter for both educational and professional development purposes.Check out this section to learn more .

Today we are sharing with you a great work from Langwiches. This time she created an awesome graphic containing guidelines on how to set up a Twitter account for your class . Here is a list of some of what she included in the infographic :

Creating account 
  • Choose appropriate and meaningful username
  • Upload an vatar
  • Include descriptive profile description
  • Let parents know the classroom username, twitter policyy, educational rational

As a class together we :

  • Review..summarize what happened in the classroom at the end of day
  • Take pictures to show learning visually in the classroom
  • Tweet regularly
  • Send a link to an interesting website we learned from or particularly enjoyed
  • Build relationships with other tweeting  classrooms
  • Model and practice good digital citizenship and Twitter Etiquette
