Making presentations is a skill every 21st century teacher should master. Students show more engagement and interest when including presentations in a lesson. As you probably know getting students attention in this 21st century classroom is one of the challenging and daunting tasks ever. So why not draw on the potential of including presentations in our classrooms to give life to our lessons and make them more engaging.
Educational Technology and Mobile Learning has already assembled a great list of free presentation making tools for desktop version and in this post we are going to introduce you to some of the best free presentation apps for your iPad.
1- Sliderocket
Sliderocket app offers users several features such as : show presentations , share presentations any time they want, invite someone to view a presentation using a simple link, download presentations for offline playing,and show YouTube or embedded videos directly from slides.
2- Idea Flight
This is another cool iOS app that lets users : share presentations with others, display presentations on an external monitor for large audiences as well as on simultaneously up to 30 or more iPads on Wi-Fi.
3- Slideshark
This is a great free app for showing and sharing presentations on the iPad. It also provides analytics to your presentations.
4- Xavier Presentation
This is an app used for advanced interactive presentations shown on multiple iPad devices.
5- SlideGrabber
This iOS app offers users the ability to : take photos of the slides with auto-cropping, take notes directly from slides, organize slides by presentations, and email slide image or save it to the photo library.
6- Prezi Viewer
This is the official app of the popular Prezi. You can use it to view and present your prezis with simple, intuitive multitouch gestures.






You missed the app that helped me get rid of my laptop when presenting. It's called Presentation Note and you load your ppt and pdf files in it easily and present directly from the iPad with tools like whiteboard, laser pointer, timer, speakers notes... The ppt are the best I've seen and I've tried most of the apps listed here.
