Creating engaging and interactive presentation has never been this easier. With AI you can now generate professionally looking presentations with few clicks. In this post, I compiled for you some of the best AI slideshow makers to help you create awesome presentations in no time.
All of these AI tools are simple and easy to use. Some of the things you can do with them include generating presentations from YouTube videos or online sources (e.g., web pages), convert documents into PowerPoint presentations, and create interactive slides tailored to specific grades or standards.
Why do it the traditional way when these AI tools can facilitate the process and save you so much time to spend on creating quality teaching resources. That being said, it goes without saying that you should ALWAYS edit AI generated content, make sure it reflects your voice and meets your standards before you use it.
AI Slideshow Makers for Teachers
Here are some of the best AI presentation makers I recommend for teachers and educators.Go through them and select the one that best suits your teaching needs:
1. Curipod
Curipod is an AI-powered platform that enables you to create engaging lessons in the form of interactive slides to use in your lessons. The process is simple and easy. Basically, you have two options to choose from: you can either create your slides from scratch or you can use AI. For the purposes of this post, let’s use the second option.
Curipod has this handy AI feature called “Curify my Slides” that enables you to upload your presentations and get them converted into engaging and interactive slides. Simply upload your document (PDF, PPTX, Google Drive), select your grade, then click on ‘Get lesson’. The great thing here is that you can repurpose and adjust the content of any presentation or document and create presentations for any grade with a single click.
Your generated presentations will have a number of learning activities to help students engage with the content of your lesson. You can either invite students to join live presentation or share the link with them and let them work on it at their own pace. Curipod provides you with reports on their progress and performance.
2. Brisk Teaching
Brisk Teaching is an AI Chrome extension that brings the power of AI right into your browser. With a single click you can turn the content you browse online into educational materials to use in your teaching.
One of the many features Brisk Teaching offers is the ability to generate presentations from online content. The tool works on different types of platforms including YouTube videos, Google Docs and Slides, Google Forms, PDFs, and many more.
Simply install the extension, navigate to the document or video you want to generate a presentation from, click on the Brisk icon on the bottom right hand side, then click on Create and choose ‘Presentation’.
Next, you can provide custom specifications to Brisk, for instance, you can select how many slides you want your presentations to be, standards, choose whether you want to include images or not, then select a grade, and click on Next. Choose a pre-made template from the options provided and click on ‘Brisk It’. Your new presentation will open in a new Google Slides page and from there you can further customize the slides.
3. Almanack
Almanack is another platform that offers various educational AI tools to help streamline and enhance teachers instructional practice. EduSlides is Alamanack’s tool for generating formatted slide deck with images. Simply type in the name of your course, type a lesson title, add instructions (optional) then click on ‘Next’.
Now, choose which resource you want to use to generate your presentation (e.g., URL, file, video, image, etc) then click on Generate. Next, Go through the generated outline, edit it as you like and select a theme for your slides then click on ‘Create’.
Once again, go through the slides and if everything looks good click on Open in Editor. Once you are done editing your presentation, you can export it in different formats including Google Slides, PowerPoint, and PDF.
4. Diffit
Diffit is an educational AI website that helps teachers generate a wide variety of educational resources and instructional materials, from online quizzes to interactive presentations. However, unlike the previous tools, to create slides on Diffit you need to dig a little bit deeper. Here is how to do it.
First, log in to your account, and select which resource you want to use to base your presentation on or you can simply select ‘Literally Anything’ and provide few details (e.g., topic of your presentation, standards, grade) and let Diffit AI do the heavylifting for you. At the initial phase, Diffit generates a detailed resource with multiple activities including an adapted reading passage, summary, key vocabulary words, multiple choice questions, short answer questions, and open-ended prompts.
However, what we want is a presentation which is why you need to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Get Student Activities’ and under the ‘Format’ dropdown select Slides and go through the templates there and choose the one you want, customize it, then click to export it as a PDF or PowerPoint presentation.
5. Eduaide
Eduaide is another of my favourite educational AI platforms. It offers a Slides Outline tool that enables you to generate ideas for the content of your presentations. It does not generate entire presentations like the previous AI slideshow generators before but only provides a detailed outline of what a potential presentation on a given topic might look like.
The Slides Outline tool does a pretty good job generating detailed slides and for each slide it offers three to four ideas and a check-in question. You can take these suggestions and use any AI assistant like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to help with developing those ideas into full presentations.
6. SlidesAI
Slides AI is an AI-powered add-on that works right within your Google Slides and enables you to quickly generate complete presentations with editable text and images. The process is straightforward. First, go ahead and install SlidesAI in Google Workspace Marketplace then open your Google Slides.
Click on Extensions on the top bar menu then select Slides AI and click on Generate Slides. Now, type in the topic of your presentation (at least 500 characters) and use the settings on the right hand column to select whether you want to add images to the slides, manage number of slides, and more.
You can also select a theme for your presentation using the Themes button on the left hand side. Once done, click on Create. It will take a few seconds to a minute to generate your slides. Go through them and edit them the way you want.
7. SlidesGo
SlidesGo is another good AI slideshow generator to use in your teaching. Its intuitive interface makes it super easy to use and navigate. To create a presentation, simply log in and click on ‘Get started’. Next, type in your topic then choose a writing tone (e.g., fun, creative, casual, professional, formal) or leave it unspecified.
Next, select the number of slides and pick a style (e.g., minimalist, colorful, geometric, or professional), and click on generate presentation. Your generated presentation will open in a new editor where you can further edit it and customize it to your teaching needs. Once done go ahead and share it with others or download it as PDF or PowerPoint presentation.
8. Canva AI Presentation Maker
Canva offers this handy presentation maker that enables you to effortlessly create beautiful presentations. Canva’s presentation maker is not as powerful as the previous tools I featured in this list but it remains a good alternative for those Canva aficionados among you.
Here is how to use Canva presentation maker tool: head over to Canva homepage, click on ‘create a design’ and select Presentation. Once in the editor, go to the Design tab in the left panel, type in the topic of your presentation and Magic Design generates a selection of presentation templates to choose from.
Select the one you like then inside each slide use Magic Write to come up with the content for that slide; not practical but because of the various other features Canva provides (e.g., large library of stock photos, icons, shapes, layouts, fonts, etc) it is still worth considering.
9. MagicSlides
MagicSlides offers a suite of AI tools that enable you to generate presentations from various online sources. If you are into PowerPoint presentations you should definitely give this platform a try. It is not free though!
If you are only interested in PPT presentations, click on PPT with AI from the top menu and browse through the AI tools there. There are Topic to PPT (lets you generate presentations from keywords), YouTube to PPT (allows you to generate presentations from videos), PDF to PPT (enables you to convert PDFs to PowerPoint slides) and many more.
Simply select the tool you are interested in and follow the instructions and your presentation will be ready within few clicks. You can then export it to PowerPoint, Google Slides or any other app.
