I always find myself fascinated by the range of experimental tools available there, from AI-powered research assistants to creative image and music generators.

2. Daily Listen
Daily Listen is an experimental AI tool from Google that generates personalized, short-form podcasts based on your search history and Discover feed. Each episode, lasting up to five minutes, features AI hosts discussing topics relevant to your interests, complete with a transcript and interactive playback controls.
3. NotebookLM
NotebookLM is one of my favourite AI research assistants that I have been using almost since it was made open to the public. NotebookLM allows you to upload various sources (e.g., PDFs, websites, YouTube, videos, Google Docs, etc) and with a single click generate summaries, Q&A, briefings, and more. You can also use NotebookLM to convert materials into engaging audio discussions.
4. ImageFX
ImageFX enables you to easily generate AI-powered images from text prompts. It offers various controls, styles, and features. The way it works is simple: type in your text prompt, select a model and an aspect ratio then click on ‘I’m feeling luck’. You can further refine your output the way you want.
5. TextFX
TextFX is an AI tool developed in collaboration with rapper Lupe Fiasco which you can use to experiment with various linguistic creations. You can use it to generate creative word associations or to enhance your writing through techniques like acronyms, similes, alliteration, and more. As a teacher, you can use it to can use it to engage students in wordplay, poetry, and storytelling, making language arts more interactive and dynamic.

Gen AI in Chrome is an experimental AI-powered feature designed to enhance browsing by organizing tabs, creating custom themes, and assisting with writing. Using Google’s latest generative AI, it can automatically group similar tabs, generate personalized browser themes based on user preferences, and help craft well-structured text for online interactions.
7. MusicFX
MusicFX is an experimental AI-powered tool that lets users create and shape dynamic soundscapes in real-time by adjusting up to 10 prompts, such as genres, instruments, and emotions. Users can fine-tune elements like tempo, brightness, and instrument density to craft unique compositions, with the option to share 60-second clips. This tool can be a great resource for teachers exploring music production, sound design, or creative expression in the classroom.
8. Illuminate
Illuminate is an experimental AI tool that transforms web content, research papers, and academic texts into engaging audio discussions. You can simply paste a URL, and the AI will generate a conversation between two voices summarizing key points. This makes complex topics more accessible and easier to absorb. 9. The Conversational AI on YouTube
The Conversational AI on YouTube is an experimental tool available to YouTube Premium members in the U.S. (18+), with limited access for non-Premium users on select educational videos. Currently accessible on Android, this AI feature allows users to ask questions about a video, receive AI-generated responses, and get related content recommendations. Talking Tours is an AI-powered audio guide that enables you to explore world cultures through Google Arts & Culture’s Stree View. This experimental tool is developed in collaboration with artist artist Gaรซl Hugo and uses Google’s Gemini to analyze visual content, gather contextual data, and generate real-time audio narratives about famous landmarks and stadiums. You can select a location, explore its Street View, and receive AI-generated insights. Use it in your instruction to help students engage with history, geography, and culture in an immersive way.
