Canva is a graphic design platform that allows users to create a wide variety of visuals and graphic illustrations including posters, infographics, flyers, brochures, newsletters, presentations, cards, social media covers and many more. I have been using it for a while now and I find it really helpful, way better than Piktochart, my previous go to platform for creating posters and infographics.
What is even better in Canva is that it has a section devoted entirely to everything education. It features pre-made templates covering 6 main themes:Classroom decor kits, Lesson plans, Worksheets, Certificates, Bookmarks, and Class schedules. In this post I want to highlight the lesson plans and worksheets parts.
In Lesson Plans section, you will have access to numerous pre-made templates to help you ‘give your lesson plans a creative twist’. There are free and premium templates and you can use the search box on the left side to search for either one of them or for both at the same time. The templates are professionally designed and are customizable so that you can edit them the way you want. Simple click on the template you want to use and select ‘customize this template’ to start customizing it. Alternatively, you can create your own lesson plan template from scratch using Canva tools.
The same with Worksheets. This section features a collection of both free and premium printable worksheets that you can customizer and download for use in your classroom. The premium materials in Canva are available for free for teachers and educators.
To access Lesson plans and Worksheets templates, go to Canava and click on templates. You will able to see them nested under the general category Education.
