CloudApp is an excellent screen recording tool I discovered through this amazing post from Ditch That Textbook on how to include animated GIFs into Google Jamboard. Cloud App allows you to record both your screen and your camera. In this way you can easily create a professional screencast where you use your webcam to ‘personalize and narrate your screen recording’. This is especially helpful in creating tutorials and instructional video content to use in class with students. It is also great for recording video presentations.
Cloud App also enables you to capture your screen recording as an animated GIF. You can create GIFs that are up to 30 seconds long and share them with others through a generated link or embed them in your email or blog. Besides GIFs, Cloud App also enables you to create screenshots of your entire screen or just a portion of it. Using annotating tools, you can easily annotate your videos, GIFs and screenshots by adding lines, highlights, arrows, drawings, emojis, and text.
Another cool feature of CloudApp is files ‘upload and share’. You can “Upload files of any type and transform them into shareable links so you can forget the “failed to upload” error messages. Choose to protect them with a password and expiration date and keep them secure and searchable in one organized place.”
Please note that CloudApp free plan comes with limited features, the pro version has way more functionalities. Watch the video below to learn more about CloudApp
