Due to school closures in several places across the world, Audible offers a free service called Stories to help kids and young learners keep their passion for reading ignited. Stories offers access to a huge collection of free audiobooks “including titles across eight different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.” All of the material offered is free and can be accessed through desktop, laptop or a mobile device.
Stories offers an anonymous browsing experience meaning that “Listeners won’t be required to create an account or log in to listen, and we’ll never ask for any personal information as part of the listening experience”. To start using Stories, head over to its main page and browse through the collections there. Audiobooks are organized by different categories: there are stories for teens, elementary, littlest listeners, timeless listens, folk and fairy tales and many more. Besides English, there are also collections in 7 other languages. You can also use Stories’ built-in search functionality to look for specific books or authors. Once you find the title you are interested in click on ‘start listening’. You can adjust the reading speed, screen size and many more.
Share Stories with your students and let them take their reading experience to the next level.
