MindMeister is one of our favourite tools for creating mind maps on Google Drive. It provides users with an intuitive brainstorming platform where they can discuss projects, sketch out plans, and collaborate in real-time. With its integration with Google Drive, users are able to “open and edit many mind map formats such as MindManager, Freemind and XMind directly from their Google Drive, and even sync their entire maps list.”
Students can use MindMeister to collaboratively create and edit mind maps and to enhance their remote learning. It can also be used as a tool for online meetings. Some of the key features it offers include: integrated live chat, notifications and task management, offline editing and syncing, the ability to add various multimedia materials (e.g., icons, images, notes, icons, links, and attachements), the ability to import from Text and Freemind, and many more.
Mind maps created via MindMeister can be exported in the form of PDF, PowerPoint, Word, among others.Users can also back up all their mind maps to their Google Drive and easily share them with their Google contacts.
