For many of us, the start of a new year becomes synonymous with the period for setting new resolutions and plans. Whether to better our finances, improve our health, stick to a healthy diet, loose weight, embark on new professional or personal journey, January is the month of the year where much of our planning takes place. In today’s post I am sharing with you a collection of some of the best iOS apps to help you make the best of your new year’s resolutions. In doing so, I have only focused on productivity enhancement apps. I divided these into four main categories: focus booster app, to-do list apps, habit trackers, calendar apps, habit trackers, and task management apps.
1- Focus booster apps
A– Be Focused
The app offers an excellent way to help you stay focused and get more done. It lets you break your tasks into discrete intervals separated by short breaks. More specifically, it helps you “create tasks, configure breaks and track your progress throughout the day, week or custom period.”
B- Forest
A smart way to stay free of digital distraction. Forest lets you plan the seed of a tree in Forest and helps you nurture its growth by staying away from your phone. As time goes by, this seed will gradually grow into a tree. However, if you cannot resist the temptation of “using your phone and leave the app, your tree will wither.”
2- To-do list apps
The app lets you create and share your to-do lists. Organize your to-dos with due dates, priorities, and tags. The app sends you reminders of important tasks to help keep you on track. It is also integrated with other services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Twitter, Evernote and many more.
B- Todoist
Another great app for creating and managing your to-do lists. Some of its features include collaborate on tasks with others, organize your lists using priority levels, get reminders of looming deadlines, access stats about the progress of your tasks, and more.
3- Habit trackers
An effective app for tracking your habits. Momentum enables you to enhance the productivity of your life through built-in features such as automatic reminders, flexible scheduling, and app badges.
B- Way of Life
Another cool app to help you build and track your habits. Some of the features it offers include: various background themes, note taking, customizable tags, numerous charts, reminders, data exportation in the form of CSV or Excel files, passcode lock and more.
4- Calendar apps
Use Google Calendar to effectively organize your daily activities. Some of the features it offers include:easily create events and tasks, add video conferencing to your calendar events, syncs with other calendar apps, works with Apple Health and many more.
Another powerful calendar app to help you organize your life. Features include: easy syncing with Google, Outlook, iCloud; create reminders and events; display numerous calendars, customize the look of your calendar using images and colours of your choice, supports AirDrop and AirPrint, and more.
5- Task management apps
A- Google Tasks
Google Tasks is an excellent app for creating and managing your tasks on the go. It is integrated with Gmail and Google Calendar allowing you to streamline your productivity in a seamless way. Some of its features include: manage tasks you create on the web, Gmail or Calendar; create tasks directly from Gmail, organize tasks by priority levels and date; get reminders for due tasks and more.
B-gTasks
gTasks syncs perfectly with Google Tasks allowing you view your created tasks all in a single place. The app is also integrated into Google Calendar and works offline.
