Two Great Digital Libraries for Students

In today's post we are sharing with two of our favourite digital libraries for kids. These are platforms where kids can access tons of books for all reading levels. Collections include picture books, graphic novels,  biographies, historical fiction, how-to-books and many more. Additionally, both of the platforms offer teachers and parents with tools to track  students reading progress and provide recommendations to enhance their reading skills.

1- Epic

Epic provides access to thousands of high quality books, audiobooks, read-to-me books, and learning videos for kids and young learners. Students will get to choose from a rich collection of reading materials and as they read they will earn badges for their achievements. As a teacher, you can create an account on Epic, select a few subjects and get book recommendations based on your students interests and reading levels. You can create individual profiles for your students and have them sign in to your group. You can then share with them reading assignments, quizzes, activities, reading materials, track their reading progress and many more.

ReadingIQ offers over 7000 books for kids of all reading levels. It also offers reading level assessments and a full literacy experience for ages 2-12. ReadingIQ's collection  includes "books with simple language, early chapter books with engaging characters, picture books with light-hearted stories, and nonfiction texts that provide informational graphics to support understanding. The collection also includes many Read to Me books to support readers in developing listening comprehension." Other features provided by ReadingIQ are:
