Below is a collection of useful resources you can use in your remote math teaching. These are websites that provide you access to a wide variety of curricular materials to help you make the best of your online math teaching. We have also included a list of YouTube channels to use with your students for educational video content covering numerous math concepts. Check out the collection and share with your colleagues. We also have resources for science distance teaching.
1- Webmath
Webmath is a “site that generates answers to specific math questions and problems, as entered by a user, at any particular moment. The math answers are generated and displayed real-time, at the moment a web user types in their math problem and clicks “solve.” In addition to the answers, Webmath also shows the student how to arrive at the answer.”
2- Khan Academy
This is another educational platform where you can access tons of math curricular materials and several other educational resources covering multiple content areas. The site offers tutorials, instructional videos, explainers, guides, lesson plans and many more.
3- Matific
“Matific is a collection of online Mathematics activities that teach students problem solving and critical thinking through discovery…Matific’s content is completely browsable and searchable, and you can even designate any content specifically for schoolwork or homework, and all our content is aligned to your local curriculum or textbook.”
4- CK-12 Math
The math section in cK-12 offers a collection of mathe resources covering: precalculus, Algebra, Geometry, and 1st-8th grades math.
These are two websites that offer virtual manipulatives to use in your math instruction.
This is a collection of some helpful YouTube channels where you can access educational video content covering various math concepts. The channels include Math TV, Khan Academy, Techmath, Mathantics and many more.
