Minecraft: Education Edition is now officially available for Chromebook educators. If you use Chromebooks in your instruction you and your students will now be able to access all the features of Minecraft: Education Edition. Students will also be able to collaborate with other students who use their PCs or iPads. For those of you not familiar with Minecraft Education this is a game-based platform that offers a wide range of learning materials to help students develop key coding and problem-solving skills.
Minecraft: Education Edition has also announced the release of new features meant to boost remote and hybrid learning. These are “eleven new STEM lessons with a special Minecraft world developed with the American Beekeeping Federation’s Kids and Bees program to introduce students to honeybees and pollination, showcasing some of the fun features that are part of this update. These include new mobs like bees and foxes, beehives and honey blocks, and an improved lesson library with tagged learning activities to make searching for lessons easier. “
