Below is a collection of educational apps that are free today and only for a limited period of time. Our favourite app in this list is 2nd Grade Reading which, as its name indicates, helps 2nd graders develop their reading and comprehension skills through a collection of CCSS-Common Core State Standards aligned stories. Other apps included are MathEdge to help kids learn addition and subtraction, Learn English Master for learning English grammar, KeyTuner ideal for both intonation and tuning practice, and Depthshot, a photo editing app with advanced features.
This app provides a wide variety of reading materials to help 2nd graders develop their reading and comprehension skills. It features over 13 original stories that are aligned with CCSS-Common Core State Standards for 2nd grade. It also includes comprehension questions at the end of selected passages with “each passage and question set takes approximately 4-6 minutes to complete”.
