The Internet provides learners with tons of educational materials to help them with their learning, however, browsing these resources can be time consuming especially for those lacking the required search skills to effectively search the web. This is where lists such as the one below come in handy. They provide students with reliable resources to use for a variety of educational purposes. This is one of our favourite free websites we have extensively covered over the last few years. ReadWriteThink offers a wide variety of study materials and interactives to help students with key literacy areas including writing, reading, arithmetic.

2- Khan Academy


This is another wonderful platform students can use to access a plethora of educational resources covering different subjects areas. The site offers tutorials, instructional videos, explainers, guides, lesson plans and many more.

3- Discovery Education

‘Although this site was designed for all elementary, middle and high school students, many college students have used this site to help them with their studies. In addition, many links added to the site are intended to help parents and teachers. When adding links to the site, I must consider students, parents and teachers since all are closely involved with the educational process of students. I post educational sites that I believe are the best of the best. I avoid sites with excessive advertising, and poor or questionable content. Also, I typically avoid sites that are not free to students.’
