Below is a handy infographic we designed specially for language teachers and anyone else keen on improving their writing skills. The visual is based on Paul Silvia’s popular book ‘How to Write a Lot: A Practical Guide to Productive Academic Writing”. At the reference page of his book, Paul featured a collection of what he called ‘Good Books about Writing’. Most of these books have already been featured in previous posts in our ‘Books for Teachers’ section here in EdTech and mLearning. We used Paul’s recommendations concerning the first three categories (the essential books, books for grammar, and books for style) and we added a fourth category featuring our own picks for academic writing to create the infographic below. Feel free to download, print, and share our visual the way you want provided you credit us as the source and that you keep it free of charge.
