Here is a great guide on media literacy I have come across a couple of days ago but never had the time to read it till this afternoon. This guide is very short ( 5 pages long ) and comes in PDF format which you can read in one reading session.
” Core Principles of Media Literacy Education in The United States ” is created by the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) with the purpose to ” help individuals of all ages develop the habits of inquiry and skills of expression that they need to be critical thinkers, effective communicators and active citizens in today’s world.” And though the guide targets teachers in the States, its content and principles can apply to teachers anywhere else.
Head over to NAMEL page where you can download the PDF format of this guide for free.
