Following the post I published here a few days ago entitled ” 14 Free Resources for Primary Source Documents” somebody emailed me this wonderful cheat sheet outlining the 6 Cs of primary source analysis. The chart as you can see below is pretty basic but will definitely help you and your students make informed decisions about the primary source documents you work on.
In fact, these 6 Cs are also applicable to any sort of digital content found online bet it a primary source or not. These are evaluative criteria to use each time you come across content you want to integrate in your lessons or share with your colleagues. These very same 6 Cs, in my view, are also important elements of digital curation and digital citizenship.
