Share My Lesson is one of the largest online community of educators, which was developed by the American Federation of Teachers and TSL Education. It’s kind of like the Yelp of teacher lesson plans, where teachers can easily find top-rated lesson plans and comments about how actual teachers from around the country are teaching their students with the site’s nearly 270,000 free online resources, all by teachers, for teachers.
Here are some of the features of this platform :
Every Wednesday night this October and November, Share My Lesson is holding a “Common Core Confident” webinar series to provide tips, advice and strategies on transitioning to the Common Core. Share My Lesson also has a new video which highlights how teachers are sharing Common Core-aligned lesson plans with each other.
* Thanks to a recent new partnership with PBS NewsHour Extra, Share My Lesson recently developed a new resource, “Today’s News, Tomorrow’s Lesson” which quickly allows teachers to find lesson plans and resources relevant to current events. For example, the most recent blog gives teachers news about the NSA spying allegations and relevant lesson plans that teachers can use.
And if you haven’t seen it, the animated video below is just a short, fun demonstration of the power of Share My Lesson, as teachers can plan their lessons not just by collaborating with colleagues down the hall, but across the entire country.
