Flipped learning is much more than just watching videos as homework or about teachers creating videos as homework for students, it is rather a learning process that engages students through real and authentic action. The purpose is to maximize learning through capitalizing on the classroom instruction time.
Students watch lectures at home at their own pace and communicate with peers and teachers via online discussions, and in class they get to work on their homework and be conceptually engaged in their learning. For those students who might not have technology or parents to help them outside school now have teachers guiding them in class.
To help you better understand the concept of flipped learning Educational Technology and Mobile Learning has an entire section encompassing a wide variety of flipped learning resources.
