The 10 Best iPad Apps for The Start of School Year

In response to the emails I got from some of you regarding the iPad apps to use to survive the first month of school I decided to jot down this quick list comprising, what I believe,  the 10 most indispensable apps I would recommend not only for the start of school but also to constantly use in the course of the entire school year. Again the selection is personal and is based on my own experience of reviewing hundreds of educational apps. Feel free to share with us your selections.

Google Drive is one safe place for all your stuff. Upload photos, videos, documents, and other files that are important to you, then access what you need wherever you go, on any device. Get going with up to 15GB of storage. Free.

3- Dropbox

Dropbox lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Access any file you save to your Dropbox from all your computers, iPhone, iPad and even the Dropbox website!

Create Hollywood-style trailers or sophisticated home movies in minutes.* And share your finished projects with the world – right from iMovie.

5- iBooks

iBooks is an amazing way to download and read books. iBooks includes the iBookstore, where you can download the latest bestselling books or your favorite classics – day or night. Browse your library on a beautiful bookshelf, tap a book to open it, flip through pages with a swipe or a tap, and bookmark or add notes to your favorite passages

6- Socrative

Socrative brings smart clickers, student response and ease of use to a whole new level. Be engaged for the entire class with educational exercises and games. See all your classmates’ ideas in real time and interact with the responses. Provide your instructor feedback on the lessons and how well you understand the material.
7- Goodnotes

GoodNotes lets you take handwritten notes, sketch diagrams, mark-up PDFs and organize them on a beautiful bookshelf. Turn pages with a swipe, highlight or add notes to any page, and share your notes with anyone. GoodNotes will automatically save your notes and has full backup function to prevent data loss.

8- Skitch

Skitch lets you communicate your feedback and important ideas in an instant. Use Skitch to mark up a PDF, snap your screen, annotate a photo, or draw something new. Share your thoughts with friends or co-workers. Annotate images and PDFs with arrows, stamps, text, shapes, and more. Getting everything done just right has never been easier.

9- Show Me Interactive Whiteboard

ShowMe allows you to record voice-over whiteboard tutorials and share them online. It’s an amazingly simple app that anyone can use, no matter how young or old!

10- Keynote
