Excellent Interactive Graphic on The Networked Educator

Being a networked educator is not simply about how many connections you are making to how good these connections are to your overall professional growth. You might be spending several hours a day surfing the web but with no tangible benefit to your intellectual and professional development. How we build our online connections do have a bearing on the shaping of our knowledge and with this increasing state of connectedness available through social media websites, it becomes highly important for us in the field of education to reassess our connections and work towards a better and educationally healthy ways of connecting with other like minded educators from all around the globe.

One way to do this is through creating and participating in Personal/Professional Learning Networks (PLNs). Another way is through using web 2.0 tools. Below is a great interactive graphic that features some interesting tools for teachers to use to keep connected and networked. I invite you to check it out and share with us what you think of it.
