9 Excellent New Web Tools to Try

This post is like the week in review post I publish here every Sunday evening except that this one contains web tools that, because of my time constraints,  I have not reviewed before. Below is a list of some of the best new web tools I came across in different educational blogs and websites in the course of last week. All of these tools have an educational value and can be used for a variety of learning and teaching purposes. Our aim is to help you get the maximum from web 2.0 technologies and leverage their potential to your classroom.

This is a website that lets users easily create message boards to communicate and collaborate with other users. You can post text, images, files, tasks and polls. You can also send posts via email and vote on others posts.



2- Dosketch




This is a free web tool that let users create a fast sketch and share it with others.DoSketch does not require any sign up and is very easy to use.




3- Boom Writer



Boom Writer is a great tool to teach creative writing. It blends creative writing and social media technology to provide a competitive writing platform that can be integrated into a variety of curriculum.



4- Wollage



This is a scrapbooking social-network that enables you to creatively share your experiences and memories with others. Each scrapbook is filled with collages, which are the pages of the scrapbook. Your scrapbook is uniquely made up of your ideas, snips, web scraps, photos and many more.



5- Annotary



Annotary is a web tool that helps users  bookmark web pages, make highlights, take notes, and share with others. Pages stay highlighted, thoughts stay organized.

This is a handy tool that allows you to easily caption and translate any video. You can add subtitles to your videos from YouTube, Vimeo, HTML5 and many more.
