One of the heated topics in education this recent decade is educational technology. No sooner do schools embrace a new form of technology, other newer forms emerge outmoding the previous ones. Think about it this way, when computers first started to be used in education the pace of integrating these new creatures into schools and classroom was very slow but as soon as laptops take the reign we found almost all the schools have now computers and internet.
Now educational technology experts talk about the use of e-books instead of textbooks and some limited schools in the US have already started the trial particularly with the use of Chrome books. It is presumed that by 2015 most of the schools in the States will be using e-books. The train of change is going on and noone can ever anticipate what it would be like to teach in the 2050 classroom.
