ChartTool is a great tool from Google. This is basically a free service that allows users to create awesome charts and graphics. After reviewing it I decided to add it to the list of free tools teachers and students can use to create great looking infographics and charts.
ChartTool is very easy to use and has a user friendly interface. There are three options for users to choose from. Either they select a pre-designed chart from ChartTool gallery and start working on it, or they can use the editor tool to create their own chart, or if they have a chart somewhere else they can import it using its URL.
ChartTool has a rich gallery of charts of varying formats. Users can choose from Line charts, Bar charts, Pie charts, Map charts, Scatter charts, Venn charts, QR codes, and Google-O-Meter charts. Once you select a chart you can then customize it the way you want. You can for instance add a title, adjust its size, add data and markers, add grids, axes and more. When you finish working on your chart you will be able to share it with your friends using a generated URL or you can embed it on your blog or website.
I believe ChartTool is a great tool for both teachers and students to create good looking informative charts.
